How we started
Arctic Mermaid Mosaics was started 7 years ago. I had been doing mosaic prior and was hooked! My inspiration came from one of my dear friends who has me in awe with her work. I started with stepping stones then mirror frames, trivets, picture frames. I look at everything now and want to mosaic it!! The beauty that mosaic brings to even the simplest object is captivating and simply put "Beautiful".I wanted to start a business that would have a large selection of tesserae for everyones desire, after all the options of what you can mosaic with and on are about endless. It is hard sometimes to locate certain types of tessera up here in Alaska and I wanted to make life a bit easier for all of us up north and afar by having a wide variety of things to choose from. Arctic Mermaids mission is to help pass this "Ancient Craft of Light" on to all those who wish to wake up that creative spirit within. We also sell in larger quantities for walls, backsplashes, showers, fireplace surrounds, for those who love the beauty of glass mosaic tiles. We specialize in high quality glass tile at affordable prices!
