Arctic Mermaid Mosaics is happy to offer a Beginners Mosaic Class. The class caters to those who wish to learn the beautiful craft of Mosaic and create their own works of art, whether it be a small picture to a wall! The class is very informative in all areas dealing with inside projects to outdoor, surface prep, Opus and Andemento. You will have the choice of making 7x8 trivet or a Salmon shaped surface or 9x9" mirror. Learning how to transfer a template on to your base, cut the glass tile into shapes with the 2 wheeled nippers, glue and grout. Lots of information is given verbally and on "How too" sheets in your booklet you receive from the class for future projects on your own or in Open Studio. We supply everything you need to make your first project here in class. It lasts approximately 51/2 to 6 hours (snack type Lunch provided also). The classes are for the most part on Saturdays, I will do a Sunday class if you have a group of at least 5. I can take up to 8 in a class. If the class you wish to take is full I have a waiting list for any openings.
